LOS ANGELES TIMES

2008-2011

I joined the Los Angeles Times (LAT) as a member of a newly formed crew of video journalists, hired to produce original, character-driven stories for LAT online. I worked solo on video projects, responsible for pitching concepts to editors, shooting the story and editing the final production. These duties expanded when I was selected to join a special interactive team. The website wireframes I designed became the framework for several interactive packages, including LAT's Photo blog Framework and the ongoing investigative project Mexico Under Siege. More

In 2010, my project Alabama Homeboys received an Emmy Nomination: New Approaches to News & Documentary.

I C U is a Webby Award winning series I developed that looks at the people behind Craigslist Missed Connections in the Los Angeles area.
